ADMISSION POLICY
Children will be allocated a place on a 'first come first served' basis. We will be operating a waiting list. We do, however, need a firm commitment from you as to the days and times your child will be attending the Kid's Club. Obviously we will do our best to accommodate everyone but we do have a limited number of places. Please inform us of any changes to your bookings as soon as possible.
FEES
The fees for the Kid's Club are as follows: -
Breakfast Club             Monday - Friday 7:45 - 9:00 am.            £3.00 per session
After School Club         Monday - Friday 3:00 - 6:00 p.m.           £7.00 per session
Holiday Play Scheme     Monday - Friday 8:00 - 6:00 p.m.         £17.00 per session

Fees are to be paid weekly in advance. If a child does not attend on his/her designated day, the session must still be paid for. Fees that are more than two weeks in deficit could result in a child losing their place.

HEALTHY EATING
All food served at the Kid's Club will be low fat and low sugar. Children will be given a choice of cereal or toast with various spreads at the Breakfast Club. A choice of sandwiches or toast, fruit and a biscuit will be served at the After School Club. Please state any dietary preferences on the registration form.
BEHAVIOUR POLICY
Discipline will be carried out in a firm, quiet manner. Inappropriate behaviour will be dealt with using time out when the child or children in question will spend a few minutes sitting quietly or talking to a member of staff until the problem is resolved. Verbal abuse or physical restraint is strictly forbidden. Persistent inappropriate behaviour will result in the loss of the child's place at Kid's Club.
ACTIVITIES
A wide range of activities will be on offer at all times. These include art and craft projects, board games, jigsaws, tabletop and floor play, computer games, reading and music. There is a quiet area with reference books for the children to do their homework. All activities will be age and stage appropriate.
DROPPING OFF AND COLLECTING CHILDREN
Breakfast Club children must be brought into the Club and signed in by a parent. After School Club children will be collected from their area, entered on the attendance sheet for that day and signed out by parents/carers. All children must be picked up by 5.55pm at the latest. Late collection of a child will be charged at £3.00 for every 15 minutes after that time. No one under the age of 16 will be allowed to collect a child from Kids Club, if the person collecting the child is different from that stated on the registration form the Club has the right to refuse to allow the child to leave the premises unless prior notice of the change has been received.
EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES
We recognise that certain groups in our society are discriminated against because of their race, colour, ethnicity, gender, physical or mental disability, age, social class or religious belief. We are strongly committed to positive action to remove the counter discrimination in all aspects of our work with children, families and others.
SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN
Parents should be aware that Rickleton Kids Club would take any reasonable action to ensure the safety of the children in our care.
In cases where the Club has reason to believe that a child may be subject to significant harm, ill treatment, neglect or other forms of abuse, staff have no alternative but to follow SSCB (Sunderland Safeguarding Board) procedures and inform Children's Services Social Care of their concern.
