Our curriculum has been designed carefully to meet the needs of our school community, as described in our curriculum vision statement:
We aim to provide a creative, inclusive, challenging and real-world curriculum relevant to the learners at Rickleton Primary School today. We want to inspire future thinkers, innovators and problem solvers by immersing them in an environment which stimulates and supports high quality learning. Our curriculum supports learners to achieve their potential academically, socially and emotionally whilst encouraging them to become ambitious lifelong learners. At Rickleton Primary School, we believe that children thrive in an environment which is safe, inclusive and supportive. By providing this environment we believe every child is able to achieve their best possible outcomes and feel celebrated for who they are.
All subjects are designed to support the curriculum aims of our school, evidenced in the Intent, Implementation and Impact statement documents shared below.
Our curriculum progression maps ensure that skills build on each other, not only within the subject itself, but intertwined across all subject areas. This is documented in the individual subject and combined maps below.
Information about the support pupils with SEND receive when accessing our curriculum can be viewed on our SEND page SEND | Rickleton Primary School
