Science
Science at Rickleton is taught through investigations. Children are encouraged to both ask questions and to answer questions given to them. They answer questions through investigations which they carry out themselves. The importance of accuracy of measurements and completing fair tests are taught throughout the whole school. Science incorporates many other curriculum areas such mathematics and computing as well as vital skills such as teamwork, communication and working in role. We value science and the importance of curiosity and critical thinking.
STEM WEEK
We had a whole school STEM week where we solved Mrs Price’s problems. Each year group had a problem and these ranged from her not being able to reach her drink, to needing a re-designed eco friendly car park. The photos show the innovative and creative solutions the different year groups came up with and it has been proudly displayed for all to see.
