30 Hour Nursery Places

We are currently considering offering 30 hour flexible nursery places in September 2017.  You can register your child for a nursery place after their second birthday.  Please bring to the office your child's birth certificate and another proof of address.  For further information please click the links below or call the school to speak to Mrs S O'Connor.

Basic Skills Award

We received the Basic Skills Award in March 2017 in recognition of the provision, practice and performance in respect of the 'Basic Skills' in literacy and numeracy.  We have shown a consistent approach to many aspects of teaching and learning and a strong high quality commitment to improving the skills of all staff through a Professional Learning Programme. 

World Book Day 2017

Building Renovation

Renovations to modernise and improve our school will take place from May to September this year. The scheme will see two areas of school renovated.  This will allow for a purpose built classroom areas for Year One and Two and a playground.  Year Three and Four will have four brand new classrooms.

Snowdog Visit

The Snowdog art team went to the Sunderland Empire Cinema to visit the Snowdog in its new environment.

Sunderland Singing Festival

Children from Rickleton Primary School enjoyed taking part in the Sunderland Singing Festival held in Sunderland Minster on January 30th.  The children performed two songs and then enjoyed singing along with other schools. All the choir thought this was a wonderful experience and enjoyed participating.
