On behalf of all of us at Rickleton Primary School, I am delighted to welcome you to our school website. At Rickleton, we are passionate about creating a happy, inclusive and inspiring place to learn — where every child feels valued, confident and proud of who they are. Our school’s vision is simple yet powerful: to ensure that every child feels happy and has a passion for learning. This is underpinned by a rich, challenging and engaging curriculum that nurtures curiosity, develops essential knowledge and skills, and opens doors to lifelong learning opportunities.
Our ethos is rooted in our core values: Respectful, Proud and Safe. We expect all members of our school community to show respect and kindness, to take pride in themselves and others, and to create a safe, supportive environment where everyone can thrive. These values are woven through everything we do — in classrooms, assemblies and around our school — helping pupils to grow as compassionate and responsible citizens.
We are incredibly proud of the recent Ofsted inspection in June 2025, where the school was judged Outstanding in all areas, including the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management. Inspectors highlighted that excellence is the norm at Rickleton, with high expectations for all pupils and strong academic, social and emotional achievement from the youngest to the oldest. Pupils are described as happy, safe and proud to be part of our school.
At Rickleton, education goes beyond academic success. We champion personal development, nurture resilience and encourage every child to make meaningful contributions — whether through leadership roles, creative opportunities or collaborative learning experiences. We also value strong partnerships with families and the wider community, which enrich the learning environment and strengthen our shared commitment to every child’s success.
