At Rickleton Primary, we absolutely love reading—and in 2026, we’re taking that passion to the next level! As part of the National Year of Reading, we are excited to announce we have planned a year full of fun, inspiring, and creative events and activities designed to celebrate books and the joy of reading.

Throughout the year, pupils will have the opportunity to take part in special reading challenges, themed days, author events, and exciting activities that bring stories to life. From discovering new favourite books to sharing much-loved classics, there will be something for everyone to enjoy so keep a look out on your child's class Dojo page or the whole school page for all our reading related news!

We’re proud to be a community of readers, and in 2026, we’re going to “Go All In”—because reading opens doors to imagination, knowledge, and endless possibilities!
