What's happening in school?

The Rickleton Reporter
Tue 20 Dec 2022For the first time, RPS has a school newspaper which is written and published by our group of Rickleton Reporters.
They meet with Mrs Price and Mrs Dhinsa on a weekly basis to discuss events around school and to write their articles.
We are delighted that their first edition of 'The Rickleton Reporter' has just been published! -
Autumn Term Attendance Assembly
Tue 20 Dec 2022We have just had our end of term attendance assembly which was fantastic!
The classes with the highest attendance since September were Saffron with 96.5% and Indigo with 97.2%. These children will be bringing home a tasty treat!
There were 99 children across the school who have come to school everyday this term. They have been awarded a bronze badge which they can wear with pride on their school jumpers next term.
Out of the 99 children who have been in school everyday, there were 4 children picked at random who won a scooter! These were:
EYFS - Yeheni
KS1 - Sienna F
LKS2 - Charlotte W
UKS2 - Harry FThere will be more exciting prizes to be won at the end of the Spring term!

Fluency in Reading
Tue 06 Dec 2022At RPS we recognise and value the importance of reading and developing a love of reading.
We understand some children find reading more challenging and we therefore want to ensure all staff are as skilled as possible to help make this easier now and in the future.
We have worked with a research group to unpick where children find fluent reading tricky and have developed strategies to help with this.
The impact is already being seen across the school which is fantastic! -
FORPS Christmas Fair
Mon 05 Dec 2022Thank you to everyone who supported the FORPS Christmas Fair. Just over £3000 was raised which is absolutely brilliant!
